It all began with My Best Friends Wedding. You know the beginning scene where the chefs are hustling around the kitchen making the “perfect plate”, which is then taken out to Julia Roberts. Julia takes a tiny bite, takes a short pause to think and then looks to the maître d’ giving her approval as she describes the meal as inventive and confident.
I distinctly remember watching this scene and thinking to myself, that is what I want to do when I grow up. I was just a little girl who loved to eat and that passion has not faltered–it has only gotten stronger. While iI may not be fully living that dream, I have done my best to make it a reality by bringing you a written and visual taste of my favorite dining experiences in Dallas.
