La Duni
On Jun 27, 2012What is your “go-to” place to eat? Mine is La Duni on McKinney. Whenever I cannot think of one place to go, I always find myself on the porch at La Duni. Everything I’ve ever ordered has been delicious and every experience I’ve had there has been enjoyable.

Lets start with brunch: Every egg dish is delicious, whether it is the Huevos Rancheros or the Filete a Caballo (Steak and Eggs). Each dish is paired with roasted potatoes and beans and of course their salsa on the side.
However most recently I’ve gotten on a granola and yogurt kick, now I know that may seem boring but the homemade granola, house yogurt, fresh fruit and honey is the perfect combination. It is the perfect light breakfast and is more than satisfying with a cup of their delicious coffee. (Don’t forget to look at their specialty coffee menu.)

Looking for something a little more filling? Try one of their lunch options like the Chicken Gringa or the Gaucho Chicken Breast Sandwich.
The Chicken Gringa is basically a quesadilla on steroids. It is filled with chicken, avocado mash, caramelized onions, grueyere cheese, swiss cheese, honey ham, tomatoes, mayo and mustard. Three words: To Die For.
The Gaucho Chicken Breast is a chicken sandwich with the most tender, deliciously marinated piece of chicken you will ever taste. It is Citrus-oregano marinated chicken, with greens, avocado, tomato, mayo, avocado, manchego cheese and your choice of bread. (I recommend the Pan de Yema)
Other items you can’t miss:
Sweet Plantains & Grilled Provolone: Cheese and Plantains? Does it get better? This is a great appetizer or afternoon snack. It may sound strange but it is an unusual combination that will make you want to order another when you are done.
Rice Salad, with Crispy Pork or Chicken Breast. It is a salad with warm basmati rice with pork or chicken, plantains (yum), cilantro, mashed avocado, diced tomatoes, and fresh cheese. This salad is huge, so you may want to share!
Lemonade, with fresh lemons and limes.
DESERT! They are all AMAZING so I will just show you some pictures.
Thank you La Duni for always treating me so well. I love you.
