The Green Elephant
On Aug 30, 2011The Green Elephant, more commonly known as Homebar, is a favorite among SMU undergrads. Get there early on a Thursday night and you will find $1.50 wells and often times a band to get your groove on. But you better watch out, because as soon as it hits midnight the elephant is packed from shoulder to shoulder with students greeting each other like they haven’t seen each other in years, even though it’s only been a night. Things often turn a little goofy when Gaga comes on and some of the intoxicated co-eds shaking their groove thing. The Elephant is and always will be the place to be on Thursday nights, rain, shine or snow the students will go to the Elephant and celebrate their final years at SMU.
